Oregon Outback Posse Portraits: Donalrey Nieva

June 3, 2015 | By | No Comments

While the Oregon Outback as a ride/race/trip had an enormous impact on me (more on that later) the biggest element is who you share these kind of experiences with.

While we hadn’t necessarily planned to ride this together, myself, Don, John, Bryan, Chris, Calvin and Brad united in the parking lot starting grid and became a veritable band of brothers. For some it was new relationships for me it was cementing old ones that were distanced through only seeing people briefly at races or in the case of myself and Brad; supporter and team.

I couldn’t have asked to share the experience with a better group of dudes.
Don did an incredible job of capturing all these guys who will be engrained in my memory of that epic trip.

Welcome Daniel Slotte

March 22, 2014 | By | One Comment

We are very happy to have Daniel Slotte in the London team. Daniel is an all round great dude, a super strong rider who has been training a lot throughout winter and he is also good with numbers, that is power numbers/meter, so be sure to see great results from him this season. We are excited to have him in the team just in time for the new season.

Team mate, photographer and art director Erik Jonsson came to watch and support us race on Sunday and took some killer photos. Rudy was racing on a Condor Super Acciaio, which he has been riding for a while (photos and review soon) and Leo was racing on a Aprire Vincenza, his first time on the bike and he seemed to have liked it. Click read more below to see more photos or head over to Build Ride Rinse for the full set.

Peter Piper & Kit/ Shop Updates

September 26, 2013 | By | No Comments

We had some bad news that the huge character, beard and man behind all the 5th Store orders broke his pelvis and other things in a climbing accident in his native Italy. We’re wishing him all the best and a super speedy recovery.

With that in mind please be patient with any recent orders and let us know if you need anything expedited and we’ll do our best.
We have heard from the manufacturers and the kit order should be dropping at the end of the month and we will post out all pre-orders. Thanks for your patience on that one.

Weekend Warriors: Part 2

September 22, 2013 | By | No Comments

This weekend represented another successful weekend for #5thnyc in our first month racing across Cyclocross, Road and Track.

I stoked to report that Chris got 2nd place in the Cat 4/5 field of Charm City Cross. While myself and James refused to let the road season go with a showing at the Kissena Fall Classic where James bagged us a 3rd and we reminded ourselves how much we love the chess game of a road race.

Hopefully some photos will emerge from both events. Next weekend Gloucester CX!

September 17, 2013 | By | No Comments

This weekend we took to the Velodrome and the Mud. I’m happy to report we had success in both!

Chris was out there at Green Mountain CX and finished 6th both days, while Nik represented at the NYC State Champs at Kissena and came 2nd in the Cat 4 field. Super proud of our dudes!
