To simply put ColoRADo is amazing and even more so if you’re a cyclist.  The climbs are endless, whether they’re paved or gravel, are always breathtaking.  I try to make it here at least once a year and it truly never disappoints.  As it’s now a tradition, the climb up Lookout Mountain is always the first ride and a good way to get acclimated to the high altitude.  Boulder always has a handful of climbs to choose from.  Up Flagstaff or Sunshine Canyon or if you prefer some dirt, Logan Hill or Gold Hill is definitely a must.  And if you really feel like doing some altitude doping, climbing up Mount Evans or Pikes Peak should be on your list.  Both sits above 14,000 ft (4,267 m) above sea level where air is thinner and the climbs are certainly harder but the views from the top is always worth the effort.  Who’s coming with me next year?
