Last Sunday,
13th April,
Luke, George, Pasquale, Leo and I (Rudy) got involved in the annually Rapha Hell of the North event to celebrate the classic Paris-Roubaix race. As tradition of the classic the ride consisted a lot of off-road, gravel, dirt, farm paths, you name it. Every time we were on flat roads felt like we were riding on silk. I am so glad I did it in the cross bike. Pasquale was on cross bike too but the other guys were on road bikes but clever enough to be riding bigger or newer tyres. 5 of us, 10 wheel, but luckily 0 punctures, but the amount of people we saw on the side of the road fixing punctures was incredible. The 100km was harder then the average 100km coffee ride and the body was feeling a bit on Monday morning, but it was awesome! Great route and event by Rapha. Thank you! To finish the day with more tradition we were welcomed with beer and frites at the finish line in time to watch the race. Great post and a great event – hope to make it next year.
