Heal up soon dude!
this music video from Scottish based Mogwai is pretty epic, but the story behind it even more so…
The music video for
Thirty Century Man. As revealed by Nowness, the video documents the journey of round-the-world champion cyclist James Bowthorpe during the leg of his journey which led him through the Norwegian countryside. Bowthorpe would go on destroy the previous record by a staggering 20 days. Crook happened to have a demo of ‘How to Be a Werewolf’ on him while producing the piece and noted how the moody ambiance of the song was a perfect fit for the landscape. “When Mogwai saw the footage, the group decided to remix the song, tailor-making a version exclusively for the film. The result spectacularly captures the notion of circumnavigating the earth.” “How to Be a Werewolf” is set to appear on Mogwai’s forthcoming album Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, which will be released February 15 via Sub Pop Records.
James ripped the previous record held by fellow Scot Mark Beaumont but at least James is from only down the road in Balham London.
Inspirational stuff for the start to the year.
